Hoosier Sugar Cream Pie

Make the recipe

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F and place the crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Whisk the sugar and flour in a bowl. Slowly whisk in the cream and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Pour the filling into the crust, dot with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce the oven to 350°F and bake 30 minutes more, until the edges are set and the center still trembles slightly.
  5. Cool completely before slicing so the filling can finish setting.
