Make the recipe
- Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C). In medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, num and salt. Arrange bread in single layer in shallow baking dish. Pour egg mixture over bread. Let stand 5 mins; turn bread over; let stand an additional 5 mins.
- Meanwhile, set wire rack on baking sheet; set aside. In blender, combine peach slices and maple syrup until smooth. Place in small saucepan and heat through.
- Heat griddle or large skillet over medium heat. Add 1/2 tbsp butter. Cook half the French bread, until golden, about 3 mins per side. Place cooked French to aston wire rack and place in oven to keep warm. Repeat with remaining butter and bread.
- Pour peach puree in small serving pitcher. Place toast from rack and skillet on large platter. Dust toast with confectioners'sugar if desired; serve with peach puree.
