Plum Jam

A sweet old-fashioned plum jam made with fresh plums, water, and sugar-—simmered until the fruit softens, then cooked gently until clear and thick before being poured into hot sterilized jars and sealed at once.

Make the recipe

  1. Wash and Cut the drain 4 qts plums in plums. halves.
  2. Add 1 qt Simmer water; bring 15 min. to a boiling point.
  3. Measurethe Cool slightly pulp; ad 3/4 cup and remove sugar for each pits. cup. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Bring slowly Pour into hot, to boiling point; sterilized jars, boil gently until filling to 1/2 in. clear and thick, of top. Seal about 20 min, at once. stirring occasionally.
